Problem: "I can't get to the login page"
Last updated: 05/30/2017 14:41:02

Overview:

All students are periodically (about once every 15 days) required to log into the network in the residence halls. Although the web browser on your device should automatically redirect you to the login page, it's possible for the redirect to fail if you're attempting to browse to a secure web site (i.e. any site beginning with 'https'). When this happens, you could see a privacy warning similar to one of the following:

"Browser can't open page because it can't establish a secure connection"

"The Wi-Fi you are using may require you to visit forescout.kutztown.edu"

"Your connection is not private"

Solution:

Fortunately the solution is a simple one. Just browse to any non-secure web page (e.g. http://www.kutztown.edu). This will redirect the browser to the login page without getting hung up on the browser's security settings.
