Problem: "I can't get to the device registration page"

If your browser tries to go to the registration page but fails, you'll see an error such as "Page cannot be displayed."

In most cases, this means your computer is using hard-coded DNS (Domain Name Service) like in the image below: 

 

Your computer MUST be set to obtain the DNS server address automatically; otherwise it won't be able to redirect your browser to the log in page.

Usually if your computer has hard-coded DNS, it was put there by malware which makes your system susceptible to random popups and is a potential threat to your personal information.

If you find your computer has hard-coded DNS that you didn't enter, please run several virus/malware scans, or visit the ResNet help desk where a thorough scan can be run for you.
