We've seen a number of student PCs today where the screen goes black immediately after logging in, and stays that way for about 8-10 minutes. After that the screen appears with no error messages, and the PC appears to behave normally.
This issue appears to be a bug introduced in a recent Windows 10 update as we've seen it occur on various models (mostly on HPs).
There is a fix that involves opening the task manager and disabling a service.
